I am a self-taught illustrator and sketchbook artist with a degree in architecture. My family and I are based in Seeheim-Jugenheim, Germany, just on the brink of moving to Denmark.
My art is inspired by my deep rooted love for animals, especially dogs, cats and Icelandic horses, my fascination with movement and silence, my background as an architect, and the wonderment of how it all blends together.
I consider myself as an “old-school” sketchbook artist. All my compositions start with a messy, lose sketch in pencil or ink on paper, followed by bold brush strokes of colour, adding more and more detail as I go.
I often work simultaneously in several different sketchbooks on the fly. This allows me to work fast — as the paint still dries on one page, I’ve already moved to another. By doing so I feel the energy keeps flowing, and I automatically keep my colour palette consistent. It’s a workflow that I have established over the years, and it became my signature style.

When my lucky side is working, I find myself concentrated at the tip of my pen, which to my delight, proceeds to create people, objects, and worlds I never knew existed.
